A Word From Beaux:mirandalsober.2015.jaymeemcdaniel-5078.jpg

Ever since I was a child I was a voracious reader. Often reading books out of my depth, but still willing to try. I loved things with a history whether it was furniture, people, cars, or houses. So naturally my predilection for all things antiques and reading combined into a passion for literature published between 1880 and 1940. My bookshelves boast a variety of authors and fiction from by-gone eras that I’ve rescued off of used bookstore shelves or antique store cupboards. Each a mystery as there are no dust jackets, no reviews, no synopsis available online to hint to me what it was about. It was like a blind date with a book.

I fell in love with the innocence of the characters and the world they lived in; a world so different from my own. Which is why I feel compelled to share with others the greatness of authors like Robert W. Chambers, Rex Beach, and Zane Grey.

While these classics aren’t the only books on my shelves as I enjoy reading modern works in fantasy, humor, and contemporary literature, they have a special place in my heart. There’s an entire era of literature out there that is growing forgotten as the market for fiction grows exponentially over time and I hope to shine a little light on some of these treasures as they cross my path.

Be warned; I have a weakness for adventure stories. Westerns in particular.

About Beaux:

Beaux Cooper is a writer, explorer, and wife. Much of her writing is pulled directly from life experiences, revelations, and lessons which seem to come in spurts if given enough time to formulate. As a fresh transplant to the bluffs region of Wyoming from her home state of Oregon, Beaux has grown to appreciate just how small she really is compared to the rest of the earth.
Wyoming skies can do that to a person.

Beaux craves adventure, travel, and fish tacos. She hoards knowledge like a magpie after carnival and watches entirely too much British television. Surprisingly, Beaux’s weekends are filled with all things quintessentially Wyoming: national parks, cattle brandings, rodeos, and the Oregon Trail. But only because she seeks them out.

Beaux shares a household with her husband, two dogs, and two cats – in no particular order.
